I’m Bas — a filmmaker, photographer, and the person behind
Summit Studio. After nearly a decade in the media world, producing podcasts, videos, and content strategies for B2B companies, I decided to shift focus to what really lights me up: creating stories that connect people to the outdoors.
In 2025, I hit the road with my girlfriend and our dog to travel through Europe in our self-built van — chasing new places, meaningful moments, and stories worth sharing.
From polished podcasts to muddy trails
Before Summit Studio, I spent 7 years in the marketing and media world — creating hundreds of videos, more than 1,000 podcast episodes and tons of photos for software companies, accountancy firms, and other B2B organisations. That background taught me how to understand a message, shape a story, and deliver content that lands — across formats and platforms.
Now, I bring that same strategic mindset to the outdoors. Because telling a good story doesn’t stop when the boots get dirty.
Why I do this
Like most of us, I’ve spent a lot of time behind screens — scrolling, swiping, checking in. I started Summit Studio with a simple goal: to make content that gets people to look up, step outside, and experience the world around them.
Whether it’s a quiet cabin in the woods, a van parked by a lake, or just a walk with someone you love — those are the stories I want to help share.
